Lakeview Hotel REIT and Lakeview Management Inc. jointly license certain hotel properties through a licensing partnership. License fees are based on 4% of gross room revenues. Lakeview Hotel REIT receives 49% of the license fees generated by the licensing partnership. License fees are received from 7 of the 9 hotels in the Lakeview Hotel REIT portfolio and from 5 hotels owned by Lakeview Management Inc.

Lakeview Hotel REIT has been structured to benefit from diverse income streams, comprised of income from hotel ownership, hotel management, and hotel licensing. As the Lakeview brand of hotels becomes better known it is anticipated that opportunities to grow the brand will present themselves outside of the REIT. Through its ownership interest in the licensing partnership, Lakeview Hotel REIT will have opportunities to grow its licensing income from properties that it will not own.
